Accessible, grounded in local culture, fast and effective – community justice solutions are increasingly seen as the key to closing the justice gap. And yet they remain on the periphery of the formal justice system.
On 25 March, we convened a high-level panel that explored what Ministries of Justice, Judiciaries and policymakers need to scale community justice solutions and integrate them into the journeys used by people to solve their most common justice problems.
Featuring Special Guests:
- Ms Jhoana Delgado Gaitán, Deputy Minister for Promotion of Justice, Republic of Colombia
- Margaret Satterthwaite, UN Special Rapporteur on Independence of Judges and Lawyers
- Hon. Justice Joel Ngugi, Judge, Court of Appeal, Kisumu, Kenya
- Hon. Justice O. Ogunfowora, Ogun State High Court, Nigeria
- Tatyana Teplova, OECD Head of Division, Policy Coherence for SDGs
