Fridah Sabwa joined the Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) as an Office Assistant in September 2026. In her role, she supports the smooth day-to-day running of the office, helping with administrative tasks, meeting and event coordination, facilities, welcoming visitors, and creating a warm and professional workplace environment for colleagues and guests.

Fridah was attracted to HiiL because of its mission to make justice work better for people and its innovative approach to creating positive social impact. She enjoys being part of an international and collaborative organisation where she can contribute to a welcoming office environment while supporting colleagues in their daily work.

She has extensive experience in hospitality management, which has given her a strong foundation in customer service, communication, organisation, and creating positive experiences for others. With her background in workplace and hospitality support, Fridah brings a service-oriented approach, attention to detail, flexibility, and a positive attitude to her role at HiiL.

Fridah brings more than five years of experience in workplace experience and office services, where she has contributed to creating welcoming, efficient, and professional environments for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.

She has successfully combined her experience in hospitality management with corporate workplace experience, using her strong service-oriented approach, organisational skills, and attention to detail to support positive experiences in the workplace.

Throughout her career, Fridah has built a strong track record of supporting smooth day-to-day office operations, coordinating services, responding to diverse needs, and helping create a safe environment where people feel welcomed, supported, and connected.

Outside of work, Fridah is a proud Kenyan who moved to the Netherlands in 2017 and has built her life here in the Netherlands. She is a proud mum and values spending quality time with her family. She enjoys working out, travelling, discovering different cultures, exploring new places, and experiencing new cuisines. Fridah also has a passion for music and dancing. She is a people-oriented and energetic person who enjoys staying active, both professionally and personally, and values meaningful connections, continuous growth, and new experiences.
